2021 Durango SRT Hellcat Announced

Brought to you by Cerritos Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram

It is absolutely no secret that Dodge loves high-output vehicles; after all, the brand is known as the house of horsepower. The brand just revealed the latest model joining the Charger and Challenger Hellcat twins, and that vehicle is the Durango! That's right Dodge just announced the new 2021 Durango SRT Hellcat, and we have to say we are beyond excited! So keep reading down below to learn everything there is to know about the new Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat!

How much horsepower does the Durango SRT Hellcat make?

The Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat joins the Challenger and Charger Hellcat twins in the 700 plus horsepower department. The three-row Durango SRT Hellcat cranks out 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque thanks to its supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi Hellcat V8 engine. The supercharged engine comes paired with a quick-shifting TorqueFlite 8HP95 eight-speed automatic transmission that delivers flawless shifts every time. When you take your Durango SRT Hellcat down to the drag strip, you can expect to cross the quarter-mile finish line in 11.5 seconds. Flooring it from a dead stop in the Durango SRT Hellcat will get you to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. When the Durango SRT Hellcat raced the Durango SRT 392 on a 2.1-mile road course, the SUV was ahead by nine car lengths after a single lap.

What does the SRT Hellcat have for performance features?

The Durango SRT Hellcat, as well as the SRT, come with both Launch Control and Launch Assist for a clean launch every time. Launch Assist watches for wheel hop at launch and adjusts power to regain traction while Launch Assist lets you achieve a perfect launch every time the tree drops. The SRT Hellcat also comes with SRT Drive modes, including Street, Custom, and Sport & Track. A new suspension system in the SRT Hellcat means Street mode provides a more comfortable ride while Track mode delivers better handling thanks to rear damper top mounts that are 18 percent stiffer and an increased dynamic tuning range. Drivers can tailor their driving experience even further by changing traction, steering, and suspension settings.

What does the Durango SRT Hellcat have for features?

While the exterior of the Durango SRT Hellcat is aggressive and intimidating, the interior is inspired by performance and designed for the driver. The driver-oriented cockpit features a new largest-in-class 10.1-inch touchscreen that is angled 7 degrees toward the driver for ease of use. Below the touchscreen, you'll find chrome-accented toggles and buttons for heated and cooled seats. When you slid behind the wheel of the Durango SRT Hellcat, you'll notice the steering wheel features a flat-bottom design and comes standard with paddle shifters so you can easily take control of when the SRT Hellcat shifts. The SRT Hellcat features unique red-accented gauges, an embroidered Hellcat logo on the front seats that are heated & ventilated, and outfitted with Nappa leather and suede.
