For the 2022 model year, the Ram 1500 is bringing you five different engine options, making it the quickest and fastest 1500 model ever. The base engine is a 3.6-liter eTorque Pentastar V6 rated at 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. This engine features a 48-volt eTorque mild-hybrid system for exceptional fuel efficiency. Next up is a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 which bumps the torque up to 480 lb-ft. This is followed by two 5.7-liter HEMI V8 variants, one with the eTorque mild-hybrid system and the other without it. Both engines provide 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Last but certainly not least is the most powerful option, a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 rated at an outstanding 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The 1500’s engines all pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the drive is cushioned by available four-corner air suspension. The 1500 can tow up to 12,750 pounds, and has a maximum payload capacity of 2,300 pounds, making it strong enough to handle the toughest tasks!
