Jeep Announces New Electric Models

In its efforts to create a more electrified lineup, Jeep is introducing an all-new electric SUV to the American automotive market! This forthcoming SUV is the Recon, which is the first of four new EVs to join the Jeep lineup in America between now and 2025. The Recon will have a similar look and feel as the Jeep Wrangler, adding another true off-road machine to the range. Some of the features of the Recon include standard 4X4, and Trail Rated capability. It features the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System, underbody skid plates, and all-terrain tires. It also features a removable roof, removable doors, and an available one-touch powertop. Inside, you’ll find the Uconnect infotainment system equipped with off-road guides to popular trails all across the country. In addition to all of its exceptional off-road abilities, the Recon will also be available exclusively as a BEV, producing zero emissions!

As you might already be aware, Jeep’s sister brand is the Wagoneer, which produces a range of luxury three-row SUVs! The traditional Wagoneer has tons of exciting features to offer including seating for up to eight passengers, a stunning 10.1-inch Uconnect touchscreen, and leather-trimmed seats. The Wagoneer S will offer many of those same stylish and luxurious features, except it will be offered as a BEV with a total driving range of up to 400 miles. The Wagoneer S’s EV powertrain will deliver 600 horsepower, and it will offer available 4-wheel drive. In terms of ability, the Wagoneer S will also be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds! From the front, you’ll find a bold appearance thanks to the signature Wagoneer grille accentuated by LED lights. 

The Jeep Avenger is the first new EV that Jeep plans to release, but it will hit the market in Europe before it makes its way to the United States. The Avenger is a compact SUV, and it wil also enter the Asian market after its European debut. The Avenger is set to achieve an electric drive range of up to 400 kilometers, and bring you sleek and sporty features, similar to the Jeep Renegade. The Avenger is a huge step in Jeep’s overarching plans for electrification, as it will make EVs more accessible not just in the United States, but across the globe! Plus, its compact frame makes it the perfect choice for everyday drives, and it will fit right in on the winding streets of European cities. However, since it’s still a Jeep, the Avenger also promises athletic breakoer and approach angles so that you can expertly handle all sorts of terrain.
