Trim Levels of the 2022 Grand Wagoneer

After over two decades of absence from the SUV market, the Grand Wagoneer is back and better than ever! The 2022 model year marks the debut of a fully redesigned Grand Wagoneer premium SUV with three rows of seats, and room for up to eight passengers. The Grand Wagoneer is filled to the brim with luxurious features, and even offers a first-of-its-kind audio system from McIntosh. Not only that, but the Grand Wagoneer can also handle tough jobs thanks to its 9,850-pound maximum towing capacity and standard 4-wheel drive! Whether you’re looking to upgrade your family’s daily commutes, or explore an off-road trail on your next road trip, the Grand Wagoneer is up for the task. Its four trim levels are the Series I, Series II, Obsidian, and Series III. Continue reading below to learn what makes each trim level unique!

Series I

The Series I trim level features a spacious interior trimmed in Nappa leather, and two bucket seats in the second row with a “Tip n' Slide” feature that lets them move aside to create a path to the third row. A 3-seat bench is also available for the second row, which makes space for 8 passengers total. The Series I also features LED headlights and taillights, ambient interior LED lighting with customizable colors, and 20-inch polished wheels. It has a standard 12-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, heated seats for the first and second rows, and ventilated front seats.

Series II

On the Series II trim level, the Nappa leather is swapped out for premium Palermo leather, and there’s heating and ventilation for the first two rows of seats. The front seats are 20-way power-adjustable, and have memory and massage features. The Series II also features the Quadra-Drive II transfer case with an electronic limited-slip rear differential, indicated by a badge on the back of the vehicle. The Series II has a hands-free power liftgate, a rear back-up camera, and rain-sensing wipers with wiper de-icers. It also has wireless smartphone integration, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a wireless smartphone charging pad.

Obsidian

The Obsidian trim level not only adds its own additional features to the lineup, but also has a black appearance package that visually sets it apart from the other trims. The Obsidian has a striking blacked-out grille, a black finish on all its exterior badges, a black roof rack, and a black aluminum dash trim. It also features 22-inch polished wheels with black inserts, a black suede headliner, and a digital rearview mirror. In addition to the extensive standard safety package with features like blind-spot monitoring, collision warning, and active lane management, the Obsidian also includes traffic sign recognition, and drowsy driver detection.

Series III

The Series III trim level is the most luxurious of all four Grand Wagoneer trim levels. It includes stunning quilted Palermo leather, real natural walnut wood accents, a standard Front Passenger Display, and a front console cooler bin. It also has an available Amazon “Home to Car” Alexa assistant, and available Rear Seat Entertainment Displays with Amazon Fire for Auto connectivity. This system lets you tune into your Fire TV account from the road. It also features the industry-exclusive McIntosh 1375 Reference Entertainment System with 23 speakers, designed to mimic the sound quality of a live performance.
