Whether you’re a busy family on the go, an outdoors enthusiast who loves to explore wooded trails, or simply a daily commuter who wants a sporty vehicle to get you from Point A to Point B in style, then the Jeep Compass may just be the perfect choice for you! The Compass is a crossover SUV that’s slightly bigger than the Renegade, but slightly smaller than the Cherokee. This unique size brings you the best of both worlds, with a comfortable five-seat interior. For the 2022 model year, the Jeep Compass is welcoming a wide array of new updates, one of which is a new trim level called the Latitude LUX. The Compass also has an upgraded Trailhawk trim for maximum off-road capability, as well as new safety features that are included on all trim levels to keep everyone on board safe and secure. The lineup for 2022 includes the Sport, Latitude, Latitude LUX, Trailhawk, and Limited trims. To learn what features you can find on each model, keep reading!
Sport
As the first trim level in the 2022 Jeep Compass lineup, the Sport sets the tone for all other models by including tons of standard features. The Sport is powered by a 2.4-liter Tigershark 4-cylinder engine, and features standard rear-wheel drive. The engine pairs with a 6-speed automatic transmission on rear-wheel drive models, which is swapped out for a 9-speed automatic transmission if you opt for 4-wheel drive. Inside, its interior is clad in a cloth upholstery, and it features a larger and more spacious storage area than previous versions of the Compass. On the outside, it features LED headlights, and on the dashboard you’ll find the new Uconnect 5 infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen.

Latitude
The Latitude has all the standard features of the Sport, but with a few added elements that boost its comfort and convenience for all five passengers. One feature it has in common, however, is the standard safety package with features like blind-spot monitoring, active emergency braking, and pedestrian detection. It also has an upgraded vinyl interior, visor lighting, and ambient overhead lighting inside. The shift knob is leather-wrapped which adds a sleek touch, and the exterior features 17-inch wheels made from aluminum, making them strong yet lightweight. The Latitude also includes foglights, automatic high beams, and keyless entry with a remote start system to make starting your car a breeze.

Latitude LUX
The 2022 Jeep Compass is welcoming the new Latitude LUX trim as the midpoint of its lineup, which helps integrate more luxurious features into the collection, and adds more variety for drivers to choose from. The Latitude LUX features a leather interior, with heated seats, and a larger, 10.1-inch touchscreen for its Uconnect 5 system. In addition to the Uconnect 5, the Latitude LUX also has a 7-inch color thin-film transistor (TFT) display. It also has a heated steering wheel, a windshield wiper de-icer, and 18-inch painted wheels which give it a strong outward appearance.

Trailhawk
The Trailhawk trim sets itself apart from the rest of the pack with its athletic styling, and off-road features. The Trailhawk is designed for outdoor adventures, and it comes with standard 4-wheel drive featuring the Jeep Active Drive Low 4X4 system. This new system allows for a 20:1 crawl ratio, allowing you to climb over rocks and uneven terrain. It also includes the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System with hill-descent control, and steel underbody skidplates. The Trailhawk has a 30-degree approach angle, all-season tires, and a black anti-glare hood decal. It also comes with a 1-inch factory lift which increases ground clearance and helps the Trailhawk ford up to 19 inches of water!

Limited
Last but certainly not least, the Limited trim is the last trim level for the 2022 Jeep Compass. The Limited sits atop 18-inch diamond-cut wheels, and features heated, leather-trimmed seats in the front and rear. Its front seats are also eight-way power adjustable with power lumbar support, and it features a new color option, with Steel Grey leather and Burnished Copper accent stitching. On the exterior, it also has a Gloss Black roof for a sleek and refined look, as well as chrome grille rings surrounded by the same Gloss Black finish to emphasize the iconic seven-slot design.
